Epik was appointed to reposition The Mailbox, one of Birmingham’s most recognisable mixed-use destinations.

The brief

While already an established landmark, the asset required a clearer narrative and stronger visual identity to compete in an evolving market across office, retail and leisure. The objective was to give leasing agents a more distinctive and compelling way to present the destination to prospective occupiers.

Our approach

We developed the First Class concept inspired by the building’s history as Birmingham’s former Royal Mail sorting office and the symbolism of the first-class stamp.

The idea positioned The Mailbox as a best-in-class destination within the city, using its heritage as the foundation for a more confident, contemporary story.

From there, we developed a refined visual language that could be applied consistently across leasing and destination communications.

The concept was rolled out across a new website, a redesigned marketing brochure, and a suite of graphics used across digital and on-site materials, providing agents with a clear and cohesive platform for presenting the asset.

Outcome

The result is a stronger and more coherent way to present The Mailbox to the market, helping leasing agents promote the destination to office, retail and leisure audiences.
